Further enhancements have been made by Stewards around social distancing with COVID-19. In accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed the Starter to box the greyhounds in a single file boxing process, commencing with box 1, followed by 2, followed by 3, followed by 4, followed by 5, followed by 6, followed by 7, followed by 8. Essentially 1 through 8 in single file. All handlers will be 2m back from the handler in front.

Swansie Delight and Fabriola Expert were slow to begin.

Swansie Delight checked off Fabriola Expert approaching the first turn, Swansie Delight raced wide as a result. Light Show checked off Fabriola Expert on the second turn. Nevilla Bale and Party Lights collided in the back straight checking both greyhounds. Party Lights checked off Nevilla Bale on the third turn. Nevilla Bale and Fabriola Expert collided in the home straight.

The tail bandage of Nevilla Bale became dislodged on the first turn.

Curly Top was slow to begin.

Nessa's Zara, Rockstar Carmody, Big Bash Army and Token Supreme collided soon after the start. Kudos Bale, Curly Top, Rockstar Carmody, Big Bash Army and Token Supreme collided approaching the first turn causing Rockstar Carmody to race wide. Kudos Bale, Curly Top and Big Bash Army collided on the first turn. Curly Top checked off Kudos Bale on the second turn. Kudos Bale and Big Bash Army collided entering the back straight. Well Grounded checked off Mepunga Missile approaching the home turn.

Wine Me Up and Star Blazer were slow to begin.

Capra and Yoel Bale collided soon after the start. Bush Martini and Drumbeater collided on the first turn severely checking Drumbeater, Yoel Bale and Star Blazer causing Drumbeater to stumble. Wine Me Up and Capra collided in the home straight. Drumbeater and Yoel Bale collided in the home straight.

Captain Chappy and Fairytale Wish were quiick to begin. Tiggerlong Rebel was slow to begin.

Lilly Lana and Fairytale Wish collided on the first turn. Captain Chappy and Lektra Style collided on the first turn. Tiggerlong Rebel raced wide on the first turn. Lilly Lana and Fairytale Wish collided approaching the second turn. Lilly Lana and Tiggerlong Rebel collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

View Audrey and Sugar Maple collided on the first turn. On Time Cash checked off Mt. View Audrey on the first turn, approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Aston Select and Cool Bourbski collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. On Time Cash and Sugar Maple collided on the home turn.

Drumroll Please and Ragnar Bale collided soon after the start. Zipping Hamish checked off Galena Bale approaching the first turn. Drumroll Please and Olson Bale collided on the first turn. Ragnar Bale faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Olson Bale checked off Drumroll Please on the second turn. Zipping Hamish and Olson Bale collided approaching the third turn. Olson Bale checked off Galena Bale approaching the third turn.

Ragnar Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9. Ragnar Bale was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle and an injury to the left pectoral muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Crackerjack Nev was slow to begin.

Yozo Bale crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Crackerjack Daza, Mimstar and New Punchline. Mimstar and Crackerjack Daza collided on the first turn. Crackerjack Nev, Mimstar and Crackerjack Daza collided on the second turn checking Crackerjack Daza.

Slingshot Hammer and Lily Pad were quick to begin. Nadali was slow to begin.

Vixstar and Lektra Rainbow collided on the first turn checking Vixstar. Aston Achilles and Lektra Rainbow collided on the third turn.

Aston Spinel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected fractured left scapula and an injury to the left shoulder joint. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
