Steward's Report
Mindil Beach - Late scratching at 12:33pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Revolution Hook.
Speed Demon was quick to begin. Moroka Magic and Jayville Tuxedo were slow to begin. Moroka Magic checked off Thistle Rock soon after the start. Leo Rose and Thistle Rock collided on the first turn causing Thistle Rock to collide with Jayville Tuxedo, checking Jayville Tuxedo and severely checking Thistle Rock. Speed Demon faltered on the second turn and lost considerable ground. Jayville Tuxedo galloped on Speed Demon approaching the home turn. Leo Rose, Revolution Hook and Diamond Cartel collided on the home turn. Leo Rose and Revolution Hook collided approaching the winning post.
Speed Demon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
