Red Hot Tears went up with the lids and was slow to begin.
Bourbski Bar, Dreamin' Is Free, Havana Miss and King Colt collided approaching the first turn checking Dreamin' Is Free, Havana Miss, Selynya Teddy, King Colt and Silver Smarty, Selynya Teddy raced wide as a result. Havana Miss, Red Hot Tears, King Colt and Silver Smarty collided on the first turn checking King Colt and Silver Smarty. Havana Miss checked off King Colt in the front straight. Dreamin' Is Free checked off King Colt in the front straight. Selynya Teddy and Red Hot Tears collided on the third turn severely checking both greyhounds causing Red Hot Tears to stumble and lose ground. King Colt and Silver Smarty collided on the third turn. Havana Miss and Red Hot Tears collided entering the home straight. Dreamin' Is Free checked off King Colt approaching the winning post.
Red Hot Tears underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right foreleg toe abrasions, left and right shoulder soreness. No stand down period was imposed.
