Steward's Report
George's Fever and Zipping Atticus collided soon after the start. Chasin' Bobbi and Golden Years collided soon after the start. Chasin' Bobbi checked off Golden Years approaching the first turn checking Zipping Atticus. Zipping Atticus and Weeona Roger collided on the first turn severely checking Weeona Roger checking Zipping Atticus. Rock Me Gorgeous checked off George's Fever on the first turn. George's Fever, Zipping Atticus and Weeona Roger collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. George's Fever and Weeona Roger collided in the back straight checking George's Fever. Iylee Bale checked off Bubbles entering the home straight.
George's Fever underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left foreleg and right hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
Weeona Roger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the right side of face and left hind bottom of foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Zipping Atticus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left and right fore toes and the left hind toes, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Geall, the trainer of Zipping Atticus regarding its performance in the back straight. Mr.Geall stated that the greyhound suffered significant interference on the first turn and was subsequently a long way back in the field. While Stewards agreed with Mr.Geall's statement, they deemed the performance unsatisfactory in the back straight (approaching the third turn). Acting in accordance with GAR 71, Zipping Atticus must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
