Tobin's Power and Lara Diamond collided soon after the start, checking Tobin's Power. Victor Ludorum faltered on the first turn.

Victor Ludorum underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hindleg.  No day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mepunga Missile.

Aston Logic was quick to begin.  Joffa's Mayhem was very slow to begin (3L).

Big Fella raced wide on the home turn, checking Mepunga Missile.  Terka Wye and Fab Nine collided in the home straight.

It was noted that the muzzle of Big Fella had become dislodged during the running of the event. 

Ricolina Lass – Late scratching at 8:34 am, when Mr Luckie Karabitsakos reported the greyhound to have a back muscle injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Opening Bid crossed to the rail on the first turn.  Nine To Seven and Lancashire collided on the first turn, checking Lancashire and Entwined. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Phoenix Drive. 

Mepunga Mila was slow to begin.

Yozo Bale crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Phoenix Drive.  Red Wine Fever and Invictus Caleb collided approaching the home turn, checking Red Wine Fever.  Red Wine Fever checked off Invictus Caleb on the home turn.  Crackerjack Scot and Red Wine Fever collided entering the home straight, checking Red Wine Fever. 

Mepunga Mila underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race seven, no apparent injury could be detected.  Stewards spoke to Mr M Lanigan, the representative of Mepunga Mila, regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Mepunga Mila must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.  Pursuant to GAR 75(1) Mr Lanigan will report to Stewards in the oncoming days anything that may have affected the performance of Mepunga Mila.

Dashing Pedro galloped on Solar Life approaching the first turn, checking Solar Life.  Nessie Bale and Begonia Bale collided approaching the home turn, checking Begonia Bale.  Butterfish and Paganini raced wide on the home turn.

Oakvale Beauty was slow to begin.

Barcia Prince and Vivatar collided on the first turn, checking Vivatar.  Tiggerlong Tonk and Time To Talk collided on the first turn, checking Smokin' Cindy; severely checking Mepunga Wonder and Time To Talk.  Vivatar checked off Mepunga Pegasus on the home turn.  Oakvale Beauty checked off Barcia Prince on the home turn.  Oakvale Beauty galloped on Vivatar entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.  

Mepunga Wonder underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Time To Talk underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasion and bruising to the left hindleg tibia and toe, and a spike wounds to the left hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race blood and urine sample was taken from the winner Tiggerlong Tonk (1st) 

A post-race sample was taken from Mepunga Pegasus (2nd) and Barcia Prince (3rd).

Mepunga Daniel and Gala Bale were slow to begin.

Eaglehawk Miss and Tiggerlong Ginga collided approaching the first turn, checking Tiggerlong Ginga.  Mepunga Daniel, Tiggerlong Back and Gala Bale collided on the first turn, checking Tiggerlong Back, Gala Bale and Tiggerlong Ginga.  Eaglehawk Miss, Fast Trapper, Galena Bale and Mepunga Daniel collided on the first turn, checking Fast Trapper and Galena Bale.  Tiggerlong Back and Gala Bale collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Eaglehawk Miss and Fast Trapper collided on the home turn, checking Fast Trapper.

Fast Trapper, which fell after the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg split webbing and left foreleg monkey muscle injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  

Jackson Abby was slow to begin.

Mepunga Maggie and Sizzlin' Sanchez collided soon after the start.  Solar Tiny, Weblec Smoke, Mepunga Maggie and Sizzlin' Sanchez collided approaching the first turn, checking Weblec Smoke and Mepunga Maggie.  Sizzlin' Sanchez and Driftin' Away collided on the first turn, checking Sizzlin' Sanchez and Solar Tiny.  Mepunga Maggie checked off Driftin' Away approaching the home turn, causing Mepunga Maggie to lose ground.
