Gotham Duke and Aston Ariana collided soon after the start. Gotham Duke, Cyclone Zara and Golden Avatar collided approaching the first turn checking Cyclone Zara, which contacted the running rail and lost ground. Aston Ariana and Golden Avatar collided in the home straight.
Cyclone Zara underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported
Stewards spoke to Daryl Weightman, trainer of Name Me Nelly (Box 7), regarding him attempting to placing Name Me Nelly into Box 6. After taking into account his good record, Stewards issued Mr. Weightman with a warning.
