Steward's Report
Cookie Deeds checked off Molly Byrnes soon after the start. Crazy Old Bird, Zipping Kiki, Toolleen Town and Zambora Clown collided approaching the first turn checking Crazy Old Bird, Toolleen Town and Cookie Deeds. Zambora Clown turned its head outwards and collided with Molly Byrnes and Zipping Kiki approaching the winning post.
Cookie Deeds underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Zambora Clown underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle,a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G. George regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. .Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Zambora Clown was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr George pleaded guilty to the charge, Zambora Clown must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a)before any future nomination will be accepted.
