Steward's Report

Northern Zone - Late scratching at 5:05pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. M. Johnson was fined $100.

Sapphire Power - New declared weight of 31.6kgs, last raced at 30.3kgs.

Aurora Miss was slow to begin. Skittle and Sapphire Power collided soon after the start. Owlette and Splinter collided on the first turn severely checking Splinter which fell as a result. Owlette and Sapphire Power collided approaching the home turn checking Sapphire Power.

Splinter underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
