Steward's Report
Willy Eve was quick to begin. Parumba Barty was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Barely Breaking, Madalia Daisy and Somerton Osprey collided soon after the start checking Madalia Daisy. Somerton Osprey and Hint Of Magic collided approaching the first turn checking Somerton Osprey. Barely Breaking galloped on She's A Charm approaching the first turn checking She's A Charm, Hint Of Magic and Somerton Osprey. Somerton Osprey and Parumba Barty collided on the first turn checking Parumba Barty. She's A Charm faltered approaching the home turn and lost considerable ground. Parumba Barty checked off Hint Of Magic on the home turn. Willy Eve and Drakari collided several times from the home turn to the home straight checking both greyhounds. Madalia Daisy raced wide entering the home straight.
She's A Charm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle tear. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Supplementary report 20/3/20:
Trainer Mr Brian Sonneman advised Stewards that his greyhound "She's A Charm" underwent a follow-up vet assessment on Friday 20 March 2020 with Dr Des Fegan. Mr Sonneman stated that the greyhound was treated with an injection of fibrevein/platelet rich plasma by Dr Fegan and was advised to have "She's A Charm" vetted again before the greyhound races in future. Pursuant to GAR 75(2).
