Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Caramel Blonde.
Pyrenees Inferno was quick to begin.
Flying Jamaica and Aeroplane Tippa collided soon after the start. Atlas Bombshell and Caramel Blonde collided soon after the start. Aeroplane Tippa and Atlas Bombshell collided approaching the first turn. Billy Deeds lost ground on the first turn and took no competitive part in the event. Flying Jamaica and Atlas Bombshell collided on the first turn. Aeroplane Tippa raced wide on the first turn.
Billy Deeds underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race six, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr Anthony Harding, the trainer of Billy Deeds, regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Billy Deeds must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards further spoke to Mr Harding regarding the number of starts Billy Deeds has undertaken recently. Mr Harding stated that while this is not a usual practice for Billy Deeds, he will look to space the greyhound's runs following the trial; and further added that he has only hand walked the greyhound between runs.
