Fran Joe went up with the lids at box rise.  Pyrenees Pegasus and Invictus Caleb collided soon after the start.  Invictus Caleb and Don't Say Do collided soon after the start.  Invictus Caleb, Cruising Ruby and Barellen Pearl collided on the first turn, checking Cruising Ruby.  Pyrenees Pegasus, Fran Joe and Frisky Den collided on the first turn, checking Fran Joe and Busted.  Cruising Ruby, Pyrenees Pegasus and Barellen Pearl collided in the home straight.

Mr Alfred King was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Barellen Mist pursuant to GAR 33.

Pyrenees Steele and Think Big Harry were slow to begin.

Cruisy's Special, Destini Ninja, Dundee Dancer and Pyrenees Spirit collided soon after the start, checking Destini Ninja and Dundee Dancer.  Cruisy's Special and Dundee Dancer collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds and turning Cruisy's Special outwards.  Pyrenees Spirit, Barellen Mist and Cruisy's Special collided on the first turn, checking Barellen Mist and Cruisy's Special.  Lara Diamond, Pyrenees Spirit and Dundee Dancer collided in the home straight, checking Pyrenees Spirit.

Warrior Jake and Regal Missile collided soon after the start.  Spooky Visitor and Warrior Jake collided approaching the first turn.  Daisy Hill Lad raced wide on the first turn.  Pyrenees Daisy checked off Spooky Visitor on the home turn.  Regal Missile and Dundee Jester collided in the home straight.

Pyrenees Inferno was quick to begin.

Flying Jamaica and Aeroplane Tippa collided soon after the start.  Atlas Bombshell and Caramel Blonde collided soon after the start.  Aeroplane Tippa and Atlas Bombshell collided approaching the first turn.  Billy Deeds lost ground on the first turn and took no competitive part in the event.  Flying Jamaica and Atlas Bombshell collided on the first turn.  Aeroplane Tippa raced wide on the first turn.

Billy Deeds underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race six, no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr Anthony Harding, the trainer of Billy Deeds, regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Billy Deeds must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards further spoke to Mr Harding regarding the number of starts Billy Deeds has undertaken recently.  Mr Harding stated that while this is not a usual practice for Billy Deeds, he will look to space the greyhound's runs following the trial; and further added that he has only hand walked the greyhound between runs.

Red Taltarni underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race. 

Run Like Jess was quick to begin.  Red Taltarni and Joking Bear collided soon after the start.  Joking Bear and Entwined collided approaching the first turn.  Red Taltarni checked off Oscar The Scout on the first turn.  Entwined and Joking Bear collided entering the home straight.

Solar Tiny checked off Fast Trapper soon after the start.  Solar Tiny, Battered Sav, Fast Trapper, Pyrenees Petraca and Posterior Chain collided soon after the start, checking Battered Sav and Pyrenees Petraca.  Solar Tiny checked off Posterior Chain on the first turn and raced wide.  Fast Trapper checked off Pyrenees Petraca on the home turn.

Florentine Bale and Kiss Me Nicki were slow to begin.

Gino Gambino and Zambora Bear collided soon after the start.  Gino Gambino, Zambora Bear and Sharky Shark collided approaching the first turn, checking Zambora Bear and Gino Gambino.  Gino Gambino, Stoerra and Florentine Bale collided on the first turn, checking Steorra, Florentine Bale and Zambora Bear.  Sharky Shark and Gino Gambino collided on the home turn, checking Gino Gambino.  Florentine Bale and Kiss Me Nicki collided in the home straight.

Gino Gambino underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Gino Gambino must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Catalina Icon was slow to begin.

Oh Suzie and Magenta Glow were quick to begin.  Select Charlie and Go Rosie were slow to begin.
