Steward's Report
Sharky Shark was quick to begin. Cloona Reward was slow to begin.
Weeona Bont, Neo Bale and Dorrigo Bale collided soon after the start. Weeona Bont and Dorrigo Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Weeona Bont. Dorrigo Bale, Magic Lantern and Habib collided on the first turn checking Weeona Bont and severely checking Magic Lantern. Sharky Shark turned its head outwards in the home straight and collided with Neo Bale.
Magic Lantern underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Sharky Shark underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr Capuano declined the offer to have the greyhound revetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Clint Capuano, the trainer of Sharky Shark regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Sharky Shark was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Capuano pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sharky Shark was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
