Steward's Report
Tye Me Over – Late scratching at 1:12 pm when trainer, Mr R Martin reported the greyhound to be suffering from illness.(GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accept.
Magic Jet was slow to begin.
Jacobite Hammer and Dimora Bekim collided approaching the first turn. Knocka Bott checked off Wilbur Deeds on the first turn. Dimora Bekim faltered on the first turn, lost considerable ground and tailed off. Beaut Deeds and Magic Jet collided in the home straight. Knocka Bott and Wilbur Deeds collided in the home straight.
Dimora Bekim underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg hamstring injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Wilbur Deeds - the winner of the event.
