Steward's Report

Fidelia and Cullquin Elijah were slow to begin.  Maximum Capers and Federal Desire collided soon after the start.  Fidelia checked off Milly McGregor at the 150m mark.  Champagne Nan checked off Cullquin Elijah at the 100m mark.  Fidelia and Milly McGregor collided at the 50m mark.  Fidelia visibly eased and turned it's head approaching the winning post. Milly McGregor faltered approaching the winning post.

Maximum Capers underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  

Milly McGregor underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right superficialis (hip) muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Kenneth Kubik, the trainer of Milly McGregor and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. 

Fidelia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Thomas Currie, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Fidelia was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Currie pleaded guilty to the charge, Fidelia must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
