Black Mustang and Zipping Jamie collided approaching the home turn. Missy Giblet checked off Zipping Magda on the home turn. Black Mustang and Zipping Jamie collided entering the home straight. 

Black Mustang underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hip muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Ms Lucinda Condon, the handler of Black Mustang and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.

Razor's Edge and Zipping Dodge were slow to begin.

Tourello checked off Vivatar soon after the start. Almapa Sunshine, Cocoon and Marcus Will collided approaching the first turn checking Razor's Edge, Almapa Sunshine, Cocoon and Marcus Will causing Almapa Sunshine to contact the running rail as a result. Almapa Sunshine checked off Marcus Will on the first turn. Almapa Sunshine and Cocoon collided on the home turn checking Tourello. Almapa Sunshine and Tourello collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Stagger Loot – Late scratching at 3.04pm when representative , Mr Kevin Ward reported the greyhound to have a  left hip injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Whipper's Chance- Late scratching at 6.06pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Lewis Green  was fined $100.

Butterfish checked off Alter Ego approaching the first turn checking Galloping Eddie and severely checking Gray Grey Goose which fell as a result. Alter Ego checked off Cool Titanium on the first turn. Galloping Eddie and Alter Ego collided on the home turn. Hazlehurst and Cool Titanium collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Gray Grey Goose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a biceps brachii injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Alter Ego – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.
