Steward's Report
Inga Mikey was quick to begin. Thomeli Monster, Zekel Bale and Mepunga Debbie were slow to begin.
Spinning Jakit and Thomeli Monster collided approaching the first turn. Zekel Bale and Mepunga Debbie collided on the first turn. Spinning Jakit checked off Zekel Bale approaching the second turn. Zekel Bale and Mepunga Debbie collided entering the back straight, checking Zekel Bale and Thomeli Monster. Inga Mikey turned its head outwards entering the home straight and collided with Thomeli Monster.
Inga Mikey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. M. Inguanti, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Inga Mikey was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Inguanti pleaded not guilty to the charge, Inga Mikey was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Saint West - the winner of the event.
