Steward's Report
Bejarano was slow to begin. Expense Eve and Bejarano collided approaching the home turn checking Bejarano. Expense Eve and Class Edge collided approaching the home turn. Expense Eve, Class Edge and Summer Girl collided on the home turn. Expense Eve and Class Edge collided entering the home straight. Class Edge veered in and marred Expense Eve in the home straight.
Class Edge underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Doyle, the trainer of Class Edge regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Class Edge was charged with marring. Mr. Doyle pleaded guilty to the charge, Class Edge is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Callister - the winner of the event.
Stewards compiled the Stewards Report using vision available from the TAB. There was no on course vision available as a result of broadcasting issues
