A pre-race sample was taken from Selynya Teddy.
Cawbourne Gout was slow to begin.
Belsfast Dot and Selynya Teddy collided soon after the start checking Belfast Dot. Close Your Eyes clipped the heels of Belfast Dot approaching the home turn checking Belfast Dot and Chip It Around and resulting in Close Your Eyes falling. Belfast Dot and Chip It Around collided several times in the home straight checking Chip It Around.
Close Your Eyes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle and a lumbo sacral injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
