Ernesto Bale, Kinloch Moss and Vixstar collided approaching the first turn, checking Vixstar. Kinloch Moss checked off Hot Jean approaching the first turn. Zipping Mack, Notorious Mac and Hot Jean collided on the first turn, checking Zipping Mack and Notorious Mac. Ernesto Bale and Kinloch Moss collided approaching the home turn, checking Ernesto Bale.
Notorious Mac, which faltered after the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg tarsal fracture - hock injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
