Tiggerlong Back was slow to begin.
Fairytale Youth and Rampant Teresa collided soon after the start. Hazlehurst and Sharky Shark collided approaching the first turn. Hook Along Mint and Fairytale Youth collided on the first turn. Fairytale Youth checked off Hazlehurst approaching the home turn, causing Fairytale Youth, Hazlehurst and Hook Along Mint to collide, checking Hazelhurst and Hook Along Mint, causing Hook Along Mint and Tiggerlong Back to collide, checking Hook Along Mint and severely checking Tiggerlong Back, causing Tiggerlong Back to clip the heels of Just Wally, Just Wally raced wide and stumbled as a result. Come On Serenity checked off Sharky Shark on the home turn.
Just Wally underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
