Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Pick Up Line.
Pick Up Line, Close Encounter, Alf Mulwee, Slingshot Prince and Hungry Grub collided on the first turn checking Close Encounter and Alf Mulwee causing Close Encounter to clip the heels of Pick Up Line. Close Encounter checked off Pick Up Line approaching the home turn. Pick Up Line checked off Close Encounter entering the home straight checking Pick Up Line causing Pick Up Line to race wide and collide with Alf Mulwee.
Pick Up Line underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and a right monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Rapid Fire underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr D Williams and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight..
