A post-race sample was taken from Swift Ellie - the winner of the event.
Northern Zone and Harston Flare collided soon after the start. Unsolved Mystery and Mohinga Chase collided approaching the first turn. Winlock Kin and Northern Zone collided approaching the first turn. Northern Zone, Harston Flare and Mohinga Chase collided on the first turn. All Inn Abby and Swift Ellie collided on the first turn. Chasin' Donuts and Unsolved Mystery collided on the first turn checking Chasin' Donuts. Harston Flare and Mohinga Chase collided approaching the home turn. Winlock Kin and Unsolved Mystery collided on the home turn. Unsolved Mystery visibly eased in the home straight.
Unsolved Mystery underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a groin injury and a right hip injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr C Bahen, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Unsolved Mystery was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr C Bahen pleaded guilty to the charge, Unsolved Mystery must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
