Clark Road and Lonnie Danger were slow to begin.
Tickle My Fancy and Wok Fried Yabby collided soon after the start. Tickle My Fancy, Wok Fried Yabby and Lonnie Danger collided approaching the first turn. Clark Road, Brian Harold and Wok Fried Yabby collided on the first turn, causing Brian Harold to fall; and severely checking Clark Road.
Clark Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Brian Harold underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraco-lumbar injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
