Steward's Report
Chucka Khan was quick to begin. Kraken Buster was slow to begin.
All Of Us and Chucka Khan collided approaching the first turn, checking Chucka Khan. Nessie Bale checked off Chucka Khan on the first turn. Chucka Khan clipped the heels of Kraken Buster on the home turn. Kraken Buster visably eased and turned its head outwards in the home straight. Kraken Buster, All Of Us and Fierce An' Fancy collided approaching the winning post, checking All Of Us.
Kraken Buster underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Dallan Klemke, the handler of Kraken Buster,regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Kraken Buster was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Klemke declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Mr Klemke pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Buster is suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
