Bella Patch underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Representative Mr J. Willoughby was queried regarding the below market expectation performace of the greyhound in this event. Mr Willoughby stated that the greyhound performed to the kennel's expectation and was not financially supported by connections tonight.

Go Betty underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mrs W. Hughes (Trainer) & Mr C. Hughes (Owner) regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Go Betty was charged with marring. Mrs W. Hughes pleaded not guilty to the charge, Go Betty was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tiggerlong Pink – Late scratching at 6.32pm due to the incorrect greyhound being presented (GAR 31(1)). Trainer Mr C. Grenfell was fined the sum of $250. The 28 day stand down against Tiggerlong Pink was lifted.

Nebraska Nell was quick to begin.  Riverdale Bear and Riverdale Shine were slow to begin.
