Napa – New declared weight of 31.9kg last raced at 33.2kg.
Cosmic Brew and Flash Sox were slow to begin.
Flash Sox checked off Talmage soon after the start. Talmage and Little Snitzel collided approaching the first turn. Akuma Fireball and Little Snitzel collided in the home straight. Little Snitzel veered out and marred Akuma Fireball in the home straight checking Akuma Fireball and Talmage.
Little Snitzel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle . A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sheahan, the trainer of Little Snitzel regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Little Snitzel was charged with marring. Mr Sheahan pleaded guilty to the charge, Little Snitzel is suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
