Steward's Report
Stewards conducted a check of catcher’s licences in accordance with LR 16.2 and all were compliant.
Pumpernickel was quick to begin.
Zipping Stan checked off Mighty Max Gone approaching the first turn. Pumpernickel, Mighty Max Gone and Dyna Hunter collided on the first turn causing Dyna Hunter to falter and tail off as a result. Pumpernickel and Mighty Max Gone collided approaching the home turn.
Dyna Hunter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Three Toots - the winner of the event.
