Steward's Report
Lektra Desire and Razor Burn were slow to begin.
Aston Coopers, Lektra Desire and Razor Burn collided soon after the start. Moonie Convoy, Lektra Desire and Razor Burn collided on the first turn. Moonie Convoy and Aston Coopers collided approaching the home turn checking Aston Coopers. Razor Burn clipped the heels of Lana's Image in the home straight. Aston Coopers eased approaching the winning post.
Aston Coopers underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury,a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr. D. Drew, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post
.Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Aston Coopers was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Drew pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Coopers must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a)before any future nomination will be accepted.
