Mr. Worldwide and Zelzer Allen collided soon after the start, checking Mr. Worldwide. Midnight Titan, Come On Eleanor and Marcus Joy collided on the first turn, checking Marcus Joy and Come On Eleanor. Marcus Joy galloped on the heels of Zelzer Allen approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Rockstar Melody checked off Zelzer Allen approaching the home turn. Titanium Lad visibly eased and turned it's head outwards in the home straight and again approaching the winning post, checking Back Ya Self.
Zelzer Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Howat, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Titanium Lad was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr K.Howat pleaded guilty to the charge, Titanium Lad must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
