Mumma's Bear was slow to begin.
Qatar Girl and Sarah Smirnoff collided soon after the start. Thrill Me and Qatar Girl collided soon after the start. Starface and Valstrepo collided at the 300m mark. Starface faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off. Thrill me checked off Qatar Girl approaching the winning post.
Starface underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
