A pre-race sample was taken from Rock Me Gorgeous.

Rock Me Gorgeous and Akina Ivy were slow to begin.

Rock Me Gorgeous and Princess Pulse collided on the first turn.  Akina Ivy and Shanlyn Haven raced wide in the back straight.  Princess Pulse and Cyclone Rhonda collided on the third turn checking Cyclone Rhonda which lost ground.

Trainer Mr R. Crawford requested that Rock Me Gorgeous undergo a post-race veterinary examination, the greyhound was found to have a left triangle injury.  A 5 days stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Leica Miss.

Rock Me Elijah was quick to begin.  Tinker Billy went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Black Mintie checked off It's All Luck soon after the start checking Tinker Billy.  Black Mintie checked off Perfect Player approaching the first turn checking Tinker Billy.  It's All Luck checked off Taylor's Chip on the first turn.  Black Mintie and Tinker Billy collided several times on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Perfect Player, Leica Miss and Black Mintie raced wide on the home turn.

It's All Luck underwent a post-race veterinary examination after the greyhound made cantatct with catching pen gate following the event. It's All Luck was found to a left fibula injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Cunneen the trainer of Black Mintie and issued him a warning pursuant to GAR 51(10)(c) after he attempted to attract the attention of Black Mintie once the greyhound had been placed in the staring boxes.

Cheeky Bumpa, Gypsy Kiowa and Brilliant Atom were quick to begin.  Red On Black was slow to begin.

Gypsy Kiowa and Brilliant Atom collided soon after the start checking Gypsy Kiowa.  Shaun John and Gypsy Kiowa collided approaching the first turn checking Red On Black, Shaun John and Gypsy Kiowa.  Paganini checked off Cheeky Bumpa on the first turn. 

Supplementary Report 1 August 2019:

Pursuant to GAR 75 (1) Trainer Mr Jason Caley notified Stewards that Brillant Atom had sustained a left hind metatarsal fracture.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bubbles.

Bubbles and Sunny's Kayo collided soon after the start.  Bubbles, Sunny's Kayo and Summer Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Summer Girl.  Romany Girl and Episode collided on the third turn.  Romany Girl and Sunny's Kayo collided on the home turn.  Romany Girl, Sunny's Kayo and Summer Girl collided entering the home straight.  

Busy Bella was quick to begin.  Bejarano and Lady Bang Bang were slow to begin.

Busy Bella contacted the running rail on the second turn.  

A post-race sample was taken from Busy Bella - winner of the event.

Soda Flash - Late scratching at 6.09pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Angry Trip.

Angry Trip was quick to begin.  Spin The Trolley and Sir Jay Jay were slow to begin.

Ita Louisa and Kiomara collided on the first turn.  Han Solo raced wide on the second turn.  Ita Louisa clipped the heels of Lightwood Lass entering the front straight.  Sir Jay Jay raced wide in the front straight.  Lightwood Lass raced wide entering the home straight.

Class Edge and Timmy Tunga collided on the first turn checking Timmy Tunga.  Class Edge and Timmy Tunga collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Timmy Tunga.  Elle Est Bonne checked off Akina Error on the third turn.  Island Cruiser and Entwined collided in the home straight checking Entwined. Rapanui Surprise and Off To Monaco collided approaching the winning post. 

Light The Track was slow to begin.

Fairy Vixen and Major Amor collided approaching the first turn.  Major Amor clipped the heels of Light The Track approaching the home turn.  Zipping Dion and Ocean View collided on the home turn.  Zipping Dion tired over the concluding stages.

Zipping Dion underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot.  No stand down period was imposed.

Mustang Tully, Why Not Leo and Big Bubbles were quick to begin.

Holly's Affair and Dyna Winter collided soon after the start.  Why Not Leo and Why Not Bazzar collided on the first turn.  Big Bubbles checked off Just Love approaching the home turn.  Why Not Leo and Why Not Bazzar collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Why Not Bazzar.  

Trainer Mr G. Carter requested that Why Not Leo undergo a post-race veterinary examination, the greyhound was found to have a spike wound to the front left fore foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kel Knight - Late scratching at 5.45pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr T. Burns was fined $100.

Early Promise was quick to begin.  Shady Thief and Inter Mimi were slow to begin.

Chase 'Em Spolly and Early Promise collided soon after the start.  Chase 'Em Spolly and Inter Mimi collided on the first turn.  Early Promise galloped on Cranberry Miss approaching the home turn causing Chase 'Em Spolly to galloped Early Promise, Chase 'Em Spolly raced wide a s a result.

Why Not Hugh, Bloke's Advice and All You Got were slow to begin.

Bigtime Bruce checked off John's Last soon after the start.  Bloke's Advice and Bigtime Bruce collided approaching the first turn checking Bigtime Bruce and Why Not Hugh.  John's Last and Sonny Micawber collided approaching the home turn checking Sonny Micawber.  

Stewards spoke to Mrs A. Patten the handler of Sonny Micawber after she permanently boxed her greyhound. Mrs Patten stated that she wasn’t aware that there was another greyhound being boxed first and only heard the starters instructions of move in. Stewards excepted Mrs Patten’s explanation on this occasion.

Stewards spoke to the starter Miss O. Cartechini and reminded her to give load and clear instructions to the handlers when directing them to box their greyhounds.

A pre-race sample was taken from New Fire Girl.

Zambora Cash and One More Light were quick to begin.  New Fire Girl was slow to begin.

Navy Storm checked off New Fire Girl on the home turn.  One More Light and Lucas Rose collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking One More Light.

Trainer Mrs D. Selleck requested that Checker Plate undergo a post-race veterinary examination, the greyhound was found to have a laceration to the left wrist. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 311mtrs with 4 required to trial. The winning time of trial was 17.91:

Zipping Caesar finished 1st, Blair Bale finished 2nd, Easy Tash finished 3rd.  

Blair Bale - Was stood down from racing at Cranbourne for fail to chase injury Weighing 25.7kgs and beginning from box 1 beaten by 2 ¼ lengths. Blair Bale has been cleared to race all tracks.

Easy Tash – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as connections wish to apply blinkers to the greyhound. Easy Tash was also stood down from racing at Sale for fail to chase. Weighing 28.3kgs and beginning from box 4 beaten by 6 lengths. Easy Tash has been cleared to race all tracks except Sale.

Zipping Caesar – Was stood down from racing at Warragul for cramping. Weighing 36.2kgs and beginning from box 8 winning by 2 ¼ lengths. Zipping Caesar has been cleared to race at all tracks.
