Steward's Report
Tezzalenko, Hunkapapa and North Wind were quick to begin.
Tezzalenko, Hunkapapa and North Wind collided approaching the first turn checking Hunkapapa. Zipping Mystic and Maina Honey collided approaching the first turn checking Mania Honey. Maina Honey, Unsound Mind and Hunkapapa collided approaching the first turn checking Unsound Mind. Tezzalenko checked off North Wind on the first turn. Maina Honey turned it's head inwards and collided with North Wind in the home straight. Zipping Mystic raced wide in the home straight. Mania Honey and North Wind collided in the home straight. Hunkapapa and Mania Honey collided approaching the winning post checking Mania Honey.
Mania Honey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the right hindleg, No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr T. Dorrington, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Mania Honey was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dorrington pleaded guilty to the charge, Mania Honey must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
