Steward's Report
Stars And Lights and What's Up Skip were slow to begin. My Name's Barry, Knuckles and Audacious Poppy collided approaching the first turn checking Knuckles and Audacious Poppy. Destini Trucker and Knuckles collided on the first turn checking Destini Trucker. Kadalex Kid raced wide on the home turn. Knuckles eased in the home straight.
Knuckles underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 8, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Bartlett, the trainer of Knuckles regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Knuckles was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Knuckles is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
