Keefe was quick to begin.
Nebraska Nell stumbled at box rise. Ellie Wires and Blue Mascara collided soon after the start. Marez Bale and Levi collided soon after the start. Nebraska Nell checked off Blue Mascara approaching the first turn. Escargot and Ellie Wires collided approaching the first turn. Levi checked off Marez Bale on the first turn. Levi and Marez Bale collided approaching the second turn checking Marez Bale. Levi and Blue Mascara collided on the second turn and again on the third turn checking Levi and Nebraska Nell. Levi and Nebraska Nell collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds and causing Nebraska Nell to stumble. Levi and Nebraska Nell collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Escargot underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle and left shoulder injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Keffe - winner of the event.
Mr M. Lanigan failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Blue Mascara for racing. Mr Langian was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
