It was noted that the muzzle of Speedy Scar became dislodged during the running of the event.

Steve's Uggboot and Shark Tank were slow to begin.

Why Not Maxine and Cindy La Moment collided soon after the start.  Steve's Uggboot checked off Master Cosmic soon after the start.  Why Not Maxine and Shark Tank collided on the first turn, checking Shark Tank.  Master Cosmic raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Steve's Uggboot.

A post-race sample was taken from Jar Man - the winner of the event.

She's Gifted was quick to begin.  Maximum Brew and Zipping Cia were slow to begin.

Glory Fire checked off Zipping Sassy on the first turn.  Zipping Sassy turned it's head outwards in the home straight.  She's Gifted and Zipping Sassy collided approaching the winning post.

Zipping Sassy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 10 and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Sutcliffe, the trainer of Zipping Sassy regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Zipping Sassy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Sutcliffe pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Sassy is suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Menzies Avenue - Late scratching at 1:59 pm, due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr G Gledhill was fined $100.

Invictus Coco was quick to begin.

Serious Bolt raced wide in the home straight.

My Mandara and Magic Lantern were slow to begin.

Buddy Goes Bang checked off Titanium Bolt on the first turn, checking Cheeky Chimp, Kraken Witch and Magic Lantern.  Cheeky Chimp raced wide on the home turn, checking Kraken Witch.  Cheeky Chimp, Magic Lantern and Kraken Witch raced wide in the home straight.  Magic Lantern cramped in the home straight and was tailed off as a result.

Magic Lantern underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was found.  Acting on the official footage and their own observations, Stewards charged Magic Lantern in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp).  Magic Lantern must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Found In Quartz was slow to begin.

Maximum Trina crossed to the rail on the first turn.  Valstrepo and Bob's Brew collided on the first turn, checking Bob's Brew.  Boston Flame and Whatta Lady collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.

Mega Dossa – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Ballarat for a shoulder injuries.  Weighing 28.7 kgs and beginning from box one, Mega Dossa completed the 410m trial distance in a time of 23:62.  Mega Dossa placed third in a field of four beaten by 7.75 lengths.  Mega Dossa has been cleared to race at all tracks, except Ballarat.  

Solar Tiny – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Horsham for a right hip injury.  Weighing 35.5 kgs and beginning from box five, Solar Tiny completed the 410m trial distance in a time of 23:62.  Solar Tiny placed first in a field of four winning by 3.75 lengths.  Solar Tiny has been cleared to race at all tracks.
