As Iron Why crossed to the outside soon after the start checking La Caprice. Darnum Dozer crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Tinker Billy. Darnum Dozer and Regal Reef collided approaching the 250m mark. Darnum Dozer checked off Regal Reef approaching the winning post.

Tinker Billy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have lacerations on the right foreleg paw pad. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bad Ones.

Bad Ones underwent a post-race veterinary examination and re vetted following race 4 and was found to have right deltiod injury a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr J. Heatherton, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Bad Ones was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Heatherton pleaded guilty to the charge, Bad Ones must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Kip Your Best - Late scratching at 11.47am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a respiratory illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Braemar Ally Fay and Lisa's Edge collided soon after the start and again approaching the 250m mark.

Braemar Ally Fay underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Jiggly Wiggly was slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Tex Nova - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Gehrig.

Azure Dragon was slow to begin.

Azure Dragon and Gehrig collided at the 300m mark and again approaching the 50m mark checking Azure Dragon.

Ruby's Boy was slow to begin.

Luna Evening and Tinker Buzz collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Ginny Woolf checked off Mr. Diaz at the 200m mark. Ginny Woolf checked off Tinker Buzz approaching the 50m mark. Tinker Buzz and Mr. Diaz collided approaching the winning post.

Go Shirvo Go, Raven Rich and Miss Zok Dee collided soon after the start checking all greyhounds. Ringside Rusty, Angel's Comet and My Name's George collided soon after the start checking all greyhounds. Raven Rich checked off Miss Zok Dee at the 300m mark. 

Star Hennessy – Late scratching at 7.06pm on 4.07.19 when Ms J. Condon reported the greyhound to have kennel cough (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Midnight Muscat was slow to begin.

Road To Nhill and Gentle Giant collided soon after the start. Renegade and Doran's Grove collided at the 250m mark. Gentle Giant faltered at the 150m mark checking Midnight Muscat, Gentle Giant tailed off as a result. Renegade and Road To Nhill collided approaching the 50m mark.

Gentle Giant underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the handler of Oliver Cruise, Mr P. Martinovic regarding his reasons for leaving the parade area prior to this event. Stewards accepted Mr Martinovic's explaination and took no further action. As a reult the start of this event was delayed by 1 minute.

Alfie's Affair and Adala Prince were slow to begin.

It's All Over and Patchie Thief collided at the 300m mark.

Cheeky Bumpa was slow to begin.

Cheeky Bumpa crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Diamond White, Tex Ribs and Good Work Johnny. Tex Ribs crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and collided with Good Work Johnny. Cheeky Bumpa checked off Tex Ribs approaching the 150m mark.

Good Work Johnny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
