Cocoon - Late scratching at 5.57pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr M. Lanigan was fined $100.
Almapa Sunshine and Whiter Shade collided soon after the start. Miss Vonshae contacted the rail on the first turn, lost ground and collided with Nella Bale. Mepunga Daniel and Meehan Louie raced wide entering the home straight.
Miss Vonshae underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist and left hindleg triangle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
