Lumen Nation and Gigi's Fire collided soon after the start.  Rose Mikado and Rock In Rio collided soon after the start.  Marez Bale and Gigi's Fire collided approaching the first turn.  Gigi's Fire, Marez Bale, Rose Mikado, Rock In Rio and So Tough collided on the first turn.  Rose Mikado, Rock In Rio and So Tough collided approaching the second turn.  Rose Mikado and Rock In Rio collided entering the back straight.  Darcon Flash and Gigi's Fire collided approaching the third turn.  Rose Mikado checked off So Tough on the third turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Arden.

Hadarah Bale was slow to begin.  Zipping Arden was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Zipping Arden crossed to the rail on the first turn and contacted the running rail.

Zipping Arden underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kratos went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Driftin' Away and Talanjee Minnie were slow to begin. 

Fun Time Mikado crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Talanjee Minnie.  Fun Time Mikado and Flash Fernando collided several times approaching the firts turn and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Driftin' Away and Debbie's Destiny collided on the first turn.  Kratos and Talanjee Minnie collided on the first turn checking Kratos.  Flash Fernando and Talanjee Minnie collided on the second turn checking Talanjee Minnie.  Liam Roxon and Debbie's Destiny collided approaching the third turn and again approaching the first turn checking Liam Roxon.  Flash Fernando checked off Liam Roxon entering the home straight checking Talanjee Minnie.  Fun Time Mikado raced wide entering the home straight.

Liam Roxon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle, right triangle and left chest injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Canvas and Zipping Atticus were slow to begin.

Zipping Atticus and Star Fever collided on the first turn.  Zipping Atticus checked off Rocket Express on the first turn checking Punk Lass Rocks.  Rocket Express and Punk Lass Rocks collided entering the back straight checking Punk Lass Rocks.  Zipping Atticus checked off Punk Lass Rocks in the back straight.  Black Canvas checked off Star Fever approaching the home turn.  

Stevie Jane was a late scratching by order of stewards at 1:24pm following an examination prior to the race by On Track Veterinarian Dr. Sui. Dr Sui reported that Stevie Jane appeared to be lame in the left front leg and was showing signs of distress. Stewards, in conjunction with Dr Sui ordered the withdrawal of the greyhound at 1:24pm. 

Subsequent to the event Stevie Jane was not showing signs of injury or distress, and upon further examination Dr Sui reported that the greyhound did not appear to be injured, and no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Stevie Jane, Mr P. Mathieson, and ordered the greyhound to perform a satisfactory trial (GAR 71) before any future nomination is accepted.

Stewards also requested Mr Mathieson report to stewards as soon as practicable anything that may have bearing on the future running of the greyhound in accordance with GAR 75(2).

Galloping Eddie and Zipping Clifford were slow to begin.

Zipping Clifford and Star Reiko collided approaching the first turn checking Star Reiko.  Talanjee Chief and Beaut Deeds collided approaching the first turn checking Talanjee Chief and Galloping Eddie.  Star Reiko checked off Galloping Eddie approaching the first turn.  Talanjee Chief and Galloping Eddie collided several times approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Talanjee Chief.  Zipping Clifford and Beaut Deeds collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Beaut Deed and Star Reiko.

Talanjee Chief underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hind split webbing and a spike wound to the left lateral carpal. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Galloping Eddie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Galloping Eddie was found to have a left pencil and groin injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Garner and Roger Express were quick to begin.

Roger Express and Folding Green collided soon after the start checking Folding Green.  Folding Green checked off Air Commander on the first turn.  Dyna Garner and Roger Express collided entering the front straight. 

Going To Pot was slow begin.

Sarah Smirnoff and Fairytale Ending collided soon after the start.  Sarah Smirnoff checked off Dyna Alexia approaching the first turn.  Fairytale Ending checked off Sarah Smirnoff approaching the first turn.  Sarah Smirnoff and Red Hot Chance collided on the first turn and again entering the back straight. Red Hot Chance and Fairytale Ending collided several times on the third turn.  Sarah Smirnoff, Red Hot Chance and Fairytale Ending collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Red Hot Chance and Sarah Smirnoff. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Minter Bee Cash.

Vixstar and El Donberto were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Banjo Fever crossed to the rail soon after the start checking No Excuse and Minter Bee Cash.  Striking Weetbix, Minter Bee Cash, Banjo Fever and El Donberto collided on the first turn checking Minter Bee Cash, Banjo Fever and El Donberto.  No Excuse checked off El Donberto on the first turn.  Vixstar checked off El Donberto on the second turn.  

Banjo Fever underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a possible fracture to the left stopper. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Ruby Girl and Another Bling collided soon after the start.  Zipping Sheila and Ruby Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Real Obsession and Ruby Girl collided on the first turn checking Real Obsession.  Another Bling checked off Matilda Mikado on the third turn.  Matilda Mikado checked off Weetbix Mini in the home straight causing Matilda Mikado to race wide and collide with Another Bling.

Kissable – Late scratching at 8:23am when Mr G. Mannion reported the greyhound to have an injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dusty Lace and Hail Storm collided approaching the first turn.  Macs Road, Usara Allen, Tuesday's Grace, Dusty Lace and Hail Storm collided on the first turn checking Tuesday's Grace, Dusty Lace and Hail Storm.  Macs Road and Usara Allen collided approaching the home turn.  Dusty Lace checked off Murray Mojito approaching the home turn.  Dusty Lace checked off Hail Storm in the home straight.  Murray Mojito checked off Hail Storm in the home straight.

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 525mtrs with 4 required to trial. The winning time of trial was 30.26.

Wilbur Deeds finished 1st, Blue Fabianna finished 2nd. 

Wilbur Deeds – Was stood down from racing at Meadows for fail to chase. Weighing 29.8kgs and beginning from box 1 winning by 10 1/2 lengths. Wilbur Deeds has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Blue Fabianna – Was stood down from racing at Meadows for fail to chase. Weighing 30.3kgs and beginning from box 3 beaten by 10 1/2 lengths. Blue Fabianna has been cleared to race at all tracks.
