Cinnabar Star, Hoofla and Mikaso Grange were slow to begin.
Sheza Spitfire and Chazwick collided soon after the start checking Sheza Spitfire. Sheza Spitfire, Cinnabar Star, Uncle Mumbles and Hoofla collided approaching the first turn checking Uncle Mumbles, Cinnabar Star and Mikaso Grange. Uncle Mumbles checked off Hoofla on the first turn. Sheza Spitfire checked off Tilka On Fire approaching the home turn. Cinnabar Star raced wide entering the home straight checking Uncle Mumbles. Sheza Spitfire checked off Tilka On Fire in the home straight. Sheza Spitfire and Tilka On Fire collided in the home straight.
Sheza Spitfire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left triceps and the right pencil muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
