Chasin' Louie, Little Mia, Xala Bale and Harrell Bale were quick to begin. Cranky Dave and Arninator were slow to begin.

Xala Bale and Harrell Bale collided soon after the start. Little Mia turned it's head outwards approaching the first turn and collided with Xala Bale. Chasin' Louie, Little Mia, Xala Bale and Harrell Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Chasin' Louie, Little Mia, Xala Bale, Harrell Bale and Arninator. Little Mia and Xala Bale collided on the first turn severly checking Little Mia. Chasin' Louie and Harrell Bale collided on the home turn. Cranky Dave tired in the home straight. 

Cranky Dave underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Representative Mr. J. Willoughby was questioned regarding the greyhound's performance in the home straight. Mr Willoughby stated that the greyhound had performed similiarly in trials and it would be the connections intention to race the greyhound over the short distances only at this stage of the greyhounds career. Mr Willoughby's comments were noted.

Little Mia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal sprain, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr L. Bicchieri, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Little Mia was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr L. Bicchieri pleaded guilty to the charge, Little Mia must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lady Oracle was quick to begin. Kendra Vegas was slow to begin and trailled the field throughout.

Regal Reef brushed the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result.

Kendra Vegas underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Vroom Vroom and Mt. View Gift were slow to begin.

Vroom Vroom checked off Crackerjack Koby soon after the start. Got Some Zip, Tennyson Girl and Smart Sailor collided approaching the first turn checking Smart Sailor and Tennyson Girl. Crackerjack Koby and Got Some Zip collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Tennyson Girl and Vroom Vroom collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Tennyson Girl, Got Some Zip and Vroom Vroom collided approaching the home turn. Zipping Navy raced wide on the home turn. Vroom Vroom and Mt. View Gift collided entering the home straight.

Chopping Spuds was quick to begin. Sassy Slyder and Dyna Bella collided soon after the start. Sassy Slyder galloped on the heels of Chopping Spuds approaching the first turn. Sassy Slyder, Kingsley Boy and Last Outlaw collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Chopping Spuds checked off Dyna Bella approaching the first turn. Standing Bear and Chopping Spuds collided on the first turn checking Chopping Spuds.

Fonzarelli, Maidenpool, Miss Vonshae and Maina Honey collided soon after the start checking Maidenpool. Maidenpool and Sun Wukong collided approaching the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Sun Wukong galloped on the heels of Maidenpool approaching the home turn. Still In Play raced wide on the home turn and home straight.

Lava Lamp - Late scratching at 4.20pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian due to a right tarsal sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
