Spolly James was quick to begin. Lanis Morris and Scrumble were slow to begin. Thumbs was checked off Dr. Annie approaching the first turn. Thumbs, Joanie's Johnny and Dr. Kestrel collided on the first turn checking Swift Gem. Dr. Annie and Lanis Morris collided approaching the home turn. Dr. Kestrel and Lanis Morris collided on the home turn.
Thumbs underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have post race cramping. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
