Steward's Report
Tahlia's Diamond has not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing after a change of kennel. Representative Mrs. J. McMahon declared a new weight of 26.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tahilia's Diamond last raced at 27.8kg.
Weeona Roger was slow to begin. Tahlia's Diamond was checked off Ebb soon after the start checking Tahlia's Diamond. El Alegre galloped on Just Burning on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Tahlia's Diamond was checked off Ebb approaching the home turn. Rosie Glenda galloped on Just Burning approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Just Burning, Ebb, Rosie Glenda and Tahlia's Diamond collided approaching the home turn checking Just Burning and severely checking Ebb, Rosie Glenda and Tahlia's Diamond. Ebb and Rosie Glenda collided in the home straight.
Ebb underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a puncture wound to the webbing on the left hind foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
