A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Mepunga Spectre, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Sizzlin' Sanchez and Where's Max were quick to begin.

Mepunga Spectre checked off Crackejack Gas soon after the start. Equals Two checked off Winslow Lodge soon after the start. Blank Page underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triangle muscle, left track leg and mild lacerations to all legs. A 21 stand down period was imposed.

Crackerjack Ale – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to a pencil muscle injury.

A pre-race sample was taken from Rocket Riley.

Severus Grange and Crackerjack Ale were slow to begin.

Satisfactory Trial Results:

Champagne Luxe – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Sandown for failing to pursue the lure with due committment (injury). Weighing 29.5kgs and beginning from box 1, Champagne Luxe completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.62. Champagne Luxe placed 1st in a field of 4 winning by 2.75L. Champagne Luxe has been cleared to race at all tracks except Sandown.  

Marcus Rose – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Geelong for marring. Weighing 28.3kgs and beginning from box 5, Marcus Rose completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.82. Marcus Rose placed 2nd in a field of 4 of starters beaten by 2.75L. Marcus Rose has been cleared to race at all tracks.
