Flossy Lee was very slow to begin (4L).
Winlock Slim and Take That Banksy collided soon after the start checking Winlock Slim. Sandy Lagoon checked off Take That Banksy on the first turn. Winlock Slim checked off Aeroplane Hank on the first turn. Sandy Lagoon and Flossy Lee raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Take That Banksy checked off Coconut Gloria approaching the winning post. It was reported that the muzzle on Kingsley Boy had became lodged in its teeth as the greyhound was retrieved from the lure.
