Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Colpoys, the trainer of Soap regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Soap last raced on 1 October, 2018 and is returning to racing following a right triangle injury.
A pre- race sample was taken from Piparae.
This race was delayed by approximately 4 minutes after the cable slipped during the stir up. Remedial works were immediately undertaken to rectify the problem.
Ragged Warrior was slow to begin.
Piparae, Aeroplane Bella and Gypsy Kiowa collided approaching the first turn, checking Aeroplane Bella. Piparae, Soap, Gypsy Kiowa and Aeroplane Bella collided on the first turn, checking Soap, Gypsy Kiowa and Aeroplane Bella. Ragged Warrior and Daisy Me Diggin' collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn, checking Piparae and severely checking Daisy Me Diggin'; Daisy Me Diggin' collided with Soap as a result and lost ground.
