Steward's Report
Acting on a confirmed phone call from Mr. K. Blake, Tuscan Flex was a late scratching at 14:04 due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. Blake was fined the sum of $100. Penalty will be lifted upon receipt of mechanical repair.
Emgee Sprinter was slow to begin.
Cosmic Yessam and Seabrook Gem collided soon after the start. Emgee Sprinter and Calen collided on the first turn. Calen faltered entering the back straight and tailed off as a result. Topaz Warrior, Dyna Kerro and Seabrook Gem collided on the second turn checking Dyna Kerro.
Calen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hip. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
Cosmic Yessem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf muscle injury. A stand downperiod of 5 days was imposed.
Supplementary Advice. The Stewards received and accepted documentation that validated the car breakdown issue for Mr Blake. The fines were cancelled and the days were lifted on all greyhounds.
