Steward's Report
Hope To Wyn, Little Steps and Noonbarra Jack were slow to begin.
Hope To Wyn and Noonbarra Jack collided soon after the start checking Hope To Wyn. Magical Diamond, Noonbarra Jack and Canyon County collided on the first turn checking Noonbarra Jack and Canyon County. Noonbarra Jack, Hope To Wyn and Little Steps collided approaching the home turn checking Hope To Wyn. Little Steps raced wide on the home turn. Dyna Eleana eased, veered out and collided with Streak Ahead in the home straight. Streak Ahead crossed to the rail in the home straight checking Dyna Eleana.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Coulson, the handler of the greyhound Dyna Eleana regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Dyna Eleana was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to right front toe and left hip, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dyna Eleana with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Eleana was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
