Lava Lamp was slow to begin.
Bolare, Lacarabine and Merl's Angel collided soon after the start checking Lacarabine. Lava Lamp brushed the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Carson County checked off Merl's Angel on the first turn. Carson County checked off Bolare approaching the home turn. Daytona Fernando checked off Riverdale Sugar in the home straight.
Lava Lamp was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left shoulder and thigh, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
