An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Don Quixote engaged in this event on 26 November, 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Ms M Shaw, representing Mr G Campbell, the trainer of Wackadookadeclared a new weight of 31.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Wackadooka last raced at Ballarat on 22 October, 2018 at a weight of 33.8kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Petey Baqui.
Latissimus Dorsi went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (7L)
Petey Baqui and Don Quixote collided soon after the start, checking Petey Baqui. Well Armed, Wackadooka, Petey Baqui and Don Quixote collided approaching the first turn, checking Wackadooka, Petey Baqui and Don Quixote. Wackadooka and Petey Baqui collided on the first turn. Wackadooka galloped on the heels of Petey Baqui approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr D Pursell, the trainer of Born Jamie regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Born Jamie last raced at The Meadows on 7 April, 2018. Mr Pursell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a left back muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Born Jamie trialled over 400m from Box 2, weight 31.2kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 22.50, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7L. Born Jamie was Cleared. Mr Pursell also redeclared a new weight of 31.2kg.

Pursuant to GAR 77A, Wayne Kenneth trialled over 400m from Box 1, weight 33.3kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 22.50, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11.25L. Wayne Kenneth was Cleared.
