Stewards spoke to Mr L Green, the trainer of Banana Bubblegum regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Banana Bugglegum last raced on 27th May, 2018. Mr Green stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Stewards spoke to Mr K Lloyd, the representive of the greyhound Chachi Arcola regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Chachi Arcola with marring. Mr Lloyd pleaded guilty to the charge, Chachi Arcola was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aztec Warrior was slow to begin.
